Buccaneer Boats has been building composite trailer boats here in New Zealand for 50 year under the same ownership—proof that we know what we're doing and aren't going anywhere.
Our workshop staff is a long-standing team of quality boat builders; many started here as apprentices and built their careers with us. Buccaneer were instrumental in introducing the specialised Composite Trailer Boat Building apprenticeship to ensure the industry had people who actually understood specialised composite trailer boat construction.
The result is that our boats hold their value, get you home reliably, and don't fall apart after a few seasons of hard Kiwi conditions.

Ongoing input from Buccaneer owners and enthusiasts has enabled us to build superbly designed boats with features that deliver all-day comfort and lots of family and fishing fun.
And we’ve always pushed the boat out in terms of innovation too, often leading the NZ boat building industry in terms of new practises and design. Buccaneer boats were the first to feature pre-fitted wiring looms, ensuring more consistent quality for the boat owner and greater longevity.

Inaugural members of the Coastguard approved NZ Boat Building Standard CPC Group Committed to training in the boating industry – Buccaneer were instrumental in introducing the specialised Composite Trailer Boat Building apprenticeship.
